Certified Instructor, Dana Martin

Ms. Dana Martin also travels from the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area each Saturday to assist me with classes. Dana has remarked that “Dancing is a lifetime skill that keeps you young.”

She has been dancing for 9 years and is also a Certified Instructor having also completed the Smooth & EZ two-year Instructor Certification Program.

Throughout her Hand Dance career Dana has:

• Performed for 4 years as a member of II Dance!, a Maryland-based hand dance team
• Competed in various levels of hand dance competitions. Dana has respectfully gained two first place, one second, and one third place award in 4 competitions over the years.
• Continues to assist instructors Kermit Banks and Novella Campbell (II Dance!) with their hand dance classes at Tradewinds in Camp Springs, Maryland.

Dana and I have often performed as dance partners on multiple performances.
